The ADB Youth for Asia project on Catalyzing Youth-led Climate Action in Atoll Nations invites local young leaders to submit applications to become Atoll Youth Climate Leaders (AYCL) for the project

The ADB Youth for Asia project on Catalyzing Youth-led Climate Action in Atoll Nations is now calling for applications from local young leaders to become Atoll Youth Climate Leaders (AYCL).

The project is looking to recruit 15 youths in each of the four atoll nations which includes Kiribati, Maldives, Marshall Islands and Tuvalu. We are looking for passionate and committed young leaders to champion climate action in their communities.

Selected youths will undergo capacity building through a series of trainings on

(1) Climate change innovation,

(2) Climate Risk Data collection

(3) Youth and community facilitation

(4) Ethics and Safeguards.

At the end of these trainings, participants will each receive a certificate of completion on training from ADB Youth for Asia.

The AYCL program encourages youths within the age of 18-30 years from all backgrounds to apply, especially young women and young people from diverse contexts such as those from the outer islands, youths with disabilities and LGBTQIA2S+. The program is set to meaningfully engage and empower youths to be drivers of change in climate action.
