Project

Fahi Ali

15 Dec 2015

Funded by the Chinese government, the programme targets residential properties across the Maldives’ islands. It foresees the installation of ten 80WP solar home systems, as well as 25,000 4W LED ball lamps and 100,000 7W LED ball lamps. The project will also set up 75.000 9W LED T8 tubes across the targeted area.

The programme aims at increasing awareness about energy efficiency through low-consuming lamps and tubes and reducing energy costs. The light-emitting diode (LED) lamps and tubes have longer life expectancy and higher efficiency than most other lighting technologies, allowing to save up to 50% of energy.
